The Palmetto Mustangs had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Crescent 76-48 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Palmetto has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Palmetto to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maj Mccoy, who scored 16 points. Mccoy set a new season high mark in steals with two. Another player making a difference was Christian Beitel, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Palmetto's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7. As for Crescent, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Palmetto will head out on the road to face off against Greer Middle College at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Greer Middle College is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. Crescent will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Seneca at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
