After losing to the Sharpsville Blue Devils the last time they met, the Allegheny-Clarion Valley Falcons decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Allegheny-Clarion Valley snuck past Sharpsville with a 45-39 victory on Saturday.
Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Distler, who scored 10 points. Distler scored a full 25.6% of Sharpsville's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Aiden Cadman, who scored 8 points.
The victory got Allegheny-Clarion Valley back to even at 1-1. As for Sharpsville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Allegheny-Clarion Valley will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Venango Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Sharpsville, they will be playing at home against Sharon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
