Having just played yesterday, the Peyton Panthers will get right back to it and host the Crowley County Chargers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
Peyton is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Simla on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Peyton was beaten by Simla 55-10. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Scarlett Clark, who posted three points and five steals. Those five steals gave her a new career-high. Sammie Nickell was another key player, putting up three points and eight boards.
Meanwhile, Crowley County beat Holly 48-37 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chargers.
Crowley County's win came from a few key players Peyton will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ashlyn Berg, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kamil Lovato, who went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points.
Crowley County pushed their record up to 4-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Peyton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Peyton has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 32.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Crowley County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.4 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Peyton against Crowley County in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, as the team secured a 52-13 win. In that game, Peyton amassed a halftime lead of 28-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
