The Sutter Huskies and the East Nicolaus Spartans will round out the year against one another at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday at. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
 Sutter waltzed into their game  Tuesday with three straight wins  but they left with four. They snuck past Casa Roble with a  70-66 victory.
  Jagger  Beck was  his usual excellent self,  dropping  a double-double on 30 points and 19  rebounds. The  game was  his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Naseem  Bhatti, who  scored 18 points along with six  rebounds.
 Even though East Nicolaus has not done well against Wheatland recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. East Nicolaus secured a  57-51 W over Wheatland. That  57-51 margin sets a new team best for East Nicolaus this season.
 Sutter pushed their record up to 6-5 with that  win, which was their fourth straight  at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for East Nicolaus, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
 Everything came up roses for Sutter against East Nicolaus in their previous meeting  back in December of 2022 as the  squad secured a  71-29 win. With Sutter ahead  49-18 at the half, the  game was all but over already.
