Hannah Smith was her usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with eight rebounds and four steals for Montgomery Catholic. The contest was Smith's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Heaven Bailey was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight assists and eight steals.
Autaugaville's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-5. As for Montgomery Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
