Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Tooele

Murray came into Friday's game looking for another win against Tooele, but Kennedy Searle wouldn't allow it. The Tooele Buffaloes walked away with a 54-46 victory over the Murray Spartans on Friday thanks in part to Searle, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Halle Hogan, who posted 11 points and three steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Charlotte Scherbel, who had 16 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Brinley Forsyth was another key player, putting up 13 points.

The win was the fourth in a row for Tooele, bringing their record for this year to 11-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Murray, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-11.

Tooele has already played their next contest, a 54-33 victory against Hillcrest on the 14th. As for Murray, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 41-38 win against Park City on the 14th.
