The Bayard Tigers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Gothenburg Swedes on Thursday. Bayard will be strutting in after a  win while Gothenburg will be coming in after a  loss.
 Bayard will roll into the  contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two  runs  on Saturday, then bounced right back against Wray/Yuma  on Saturday. Everything went Bayard's way against Wray/Yuma as Bayard made off with  a  12-1 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  win the Tigers have posted  since August 23rd.
 The team  relied heavily on  Shayleigh West, who  went 2-for-4 with a  home run, two  runs, and a  stolen base. She is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games she's  played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was  Miracle Tervino, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Gothenburg was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They fell  13-8 to Alliance.
  Aubrey Cross made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of  Taye Herrick, who  scored two  runs.
 Even though they lost, Gothenburg was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .429. The last time their  batting average was this high was  back in September of 2023.
 Bayard's victory bumped their record up to 4-6-1. As for Gothenburg, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
 Bayard suffered a grim  15-0 defeat to Gothenburg  when the teams last played  back in September of 2022. Can Bayard avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
