Basketball Recap: Parke Heritage Piles Up the Points Against Covington

Parke Heritage won the last time they faced Covington and things went their way on Thursday too. The Parke Heritage Wolves claimed a resounding 64-26 victory over the Covington Trojans. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 25 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Emma Simpson, who went 10 for 17 en route to 25 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. That's the most steals she has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Addilee Dawn Jenkins, who posted 11 points and eight boards.

Parke Heritage was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Covington only posted eight assists.

The win made it two in a row for Parke Heritage and bumps their season record up to 15-3. As for Covington, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Parke Heritage didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-37 loss against Zionsville on the 18th. Covington has also already played their next game, a 59-31 defeat against Seeger on the 20th.
