Jordan is 7-2 against Chapel Hill since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Falcons will square off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Jordan's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last six matchups.
Jordan will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Northern Durham, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Knights on Wednesday. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by eight runs or more this season.

Jordan let Sidney Sharp and Kylie Specht run wild. Sharp fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4, while Specht scored three runs and stole five bases while going 4-for-4. Those five stolen bases gave Specht a new career-high. Sofia Coleman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Jordan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .531. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Chapel Hill took on East Chapel Hill on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 12-4 to the Wildcats. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.
Channing Clark spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and six unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Alexandra (Kes) Duncan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jillian Evans, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.
Jordan pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Chapel Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
Both Jordan and Chapel Hill just can't seem to miss. The Falcons have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Chapel Hill struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Jordan took their win against Chapel Hill when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 12-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
