The Seminole Warhawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 55-44 win over Indian Rocks Christian. That's another feather in the cap for Seminole, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Laney Pearson was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points. She hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Molly Follett was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Indian Rocks Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Kayleigh Atkinson and Malia Stevens. Atkinson scored 12 points, while Stevens scored 15 points.
Seminole's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11. As for Indian Rocks Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seminole will take on Tarpon Springs at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Tarpon Springs comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Indian Rocks Christian, they will be playing at home against Keswick Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keswick Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.
