Softball Game Preview: Pine Forest Trojans vs. E.E. Smith Golden Bulls

For the second straight game, Pine Forest will face off against E.E. Smith. Pine Forest will face off against E.E. Smith at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pine Forest is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Pine Forest took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let E.E. Smith get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Trojans needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

The result came thanks to Mya Harris's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Pine Forest let Gracie Miller and Savannah Winstead run wild. Miller went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Winstead went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Winstead a new career-high. Morgan Miller was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
