After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fairview, Monarch was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Boulder Panthers 63-6. The matchup marked the Coyotes' most dominant victory of the season.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Abbott Lockwood and Malakhi Payne. Lockwood rushed for 203 yards and a pair of scores while Payne rushed for 121 yards and two TDs on only ten carries. Lockwood really tore up the turf during one magnificent 94-yard run.
Monarch was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 398 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 82.7 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five contests they've averaged 299.3.
