While losing is never fun, Meadowcreek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while North Gwinnett is ranked 77th).
Meadowcreek's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daron Sturdivant, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sturdivant has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Adonai Mussie, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Meadowcreek has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for North Gwinnett, their victory bumped their record up to 15-10.
Meadowcreek will be playing at home against Discovery at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meadowcreek is facing Discovery at the right time seeing as Discovery is stuck on a 21-game losing streak. As for North Gwinnett, they will take on Duluth at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
