The Macon County Bulldogs had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They strolled past Chattahoochee County with points to spare, taking the game 61-42. This was payback for Macon County, who suffered a 46-44 loss the last time these two teams met.
Macon County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aliyah Lake, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniah Lake, who scored 11 points.
Macon County is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Chattahoochee County, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.
Macon County will take on Taylor County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Taylor County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Macon County likes a good challenge. As for Chattahoochee County, they will head out on the road to face off against Greenville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 486th, while Chattahoochee County is ranked 241st).
