The Glendale Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Moon Valley Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Glendale has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 222 points over their last five contests.
Even though Youngker scored an imposing 31 points on Friday, Glendale still came out on top. Glendale walked away with a 43-31 victory over Youngker.
Glendale can attribute much of their success to Jesus Garcia, who gained 275 total yards and three touchdowns, and Zechariah Owens, who rushed for 227 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per carry. Owens' longest rush was for an incredible 97 yards.
Meanwhile, Moon Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Peoria on Friday, taking the game 21-10.
Moon Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Coleton Carlson out in front who rushed for 40 yards and two touchdowns.
Glendale has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Moon Valley, their victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 4-5.
Everything came up roses for Glendale against Moon Valley in their previous matchup back in October of 2021 as the team secured a 48-18 win. Does Glendale have another victory up their sleeve, or will Moon Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
