Cairo extended their postseason success on Thursday against Pope County. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Pope County Pirates 69-66. The victory was nothing new for the Pilots as they're now sitting on three straight.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bella Fasolo, who went 11-for-24 en route to 32 points. That was a full 48.5% of Pope County's points, marking the seventh time in a row Fasolo has posted more than a third of the team's points. Lawson Forthman was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Cairo's win bumped their record up to 6-17. As for Pope County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-11.

As of now, neither Cairo nor Pope County have any future games scheduled.
