The Westminster Christian Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 58-17 loss at the hands of Schaumburg Christian. Westminster Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-8.
Schaumburg Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carynton Hobson, who scored 8 points along with 16 rebounds and 6 steals. Hobson is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Bustamante, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 7 steals.
Westminster Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Schaumburg Christian, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Westminster Christian will be playing at home against Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Schaumburg Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Monday.
