The Ord Chanticleers entered their tilt with the Cedar Catholic Trojans with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Ord secured a 18-13 W over Cedar Catholic on Friday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ord to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dylan Hurlburt, who rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 188 yards and a touchdown on only 17 passes. Blake Hinrichs was another key contributor, picking up 125 receiving yards and a touchdown.
When it comes to explaining why Cedar Catholic lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaymison Cattau. Despite the final result, he picked up 102 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Ord's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.7 points per game. As for Cedar Catholic, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Ord will take on Mitchell at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran in their prior games. Cedar Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
