The Golder Panthers are on the road again on Tuesday and plays the DePaul College Prep Rams at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Golder comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Wednesday, Golder took a serious blow against ITW David Speer Academy, falling 60-14. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Golder in their matchups with ITW David Speer Academy: they've now lost seven in a row.
In what's become a running theme this season, DePaul College Prep gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 59-31 victory over Northside. The win was familiar territory for DePaul College Prep who now have three in a row.
Golder dropped their record down to 4-15 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.4 points per game. As for DePaul College Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.
Golder was taken down by DePaul College Prep 53-25 when the teams last played back in December of 2017. Can Golder avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
