Despite the loss, Dublin still got an impressive performance from Micah O?Neal, who rushed for 129 yards and one touchdown. That's the most rushing yards O?Neal has posted since back in November of 2023.
Tj Stanley was his usual excellent self, throwing for 152 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 97 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries for Toombs County. Stanley got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 60 yards.
Dublin's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-1. As for Toombs County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
Dublin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Toombs County, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Northeast at 1:00 p.m. on December 17th. Toombs County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Northeast likes a good challenge.
