The Shelton Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 56-43 to All Saints Episcopal. Shelton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as All Saints Episcopal apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
All Saints Episcopal got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Caz Franks out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Manny Mizer, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Shelton has not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-18 record this season. As for All Saints Episcopal, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-21.
Shelton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for All Saints Episcopal, they will head out on the road to face off against Prince of Peace at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Prince of Peace's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home while All Saints Episcopal has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
