The Sunrise Mountain Miners were the 57-50 winner over the Eldorado Sundevils when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Sunrise Mountain fell just short of Eldorado by a score of 51-49.
Several Miners players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bryan Stovall, who scored 11 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Redic, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds.
Eldorado got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kamarion Durant out in front who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Durant has scored at least 25% of Eldorado's points. Another player making a difference was Jaquez "JJ" Lavoll, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals.
Sunrise Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Eldorado, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Sunrise Mountain and Western will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Western is ranked 56th, while Sunrise Mountain is ranked 42nd). As for Eldorado, they will head out on the road to face off against Cimarron-Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
