After flying high against the Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy Cougars last Thursday, the Trinity Prep Crusaders came back down to earth. Trinity Prep fell to Rio Lindo Adventist 43-38. Trinity Prep lost against Rio Lindo Adventist in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 75-41 score last time.
It was another big night for Jhordany Barcenas, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals for Rio Lindo Adventist. That makes it three consecutive games in which Barcenas has scored at least a third of Rio Lindo Adventist's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter McNunn, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Trinity Prep has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Rio Lindo Adventist, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
Trinity Prep will head out on the road to square off against Pacific Union College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rio Lindo Adventist, they will take on Bakersfield Adventist at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday.
