They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cristo Rey Jesuit 73-22 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zacarius Owens, who scored 13 points along with seven steals. Another player making a difference was Jamil Johnson, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus' victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus will head out on the road to face off against Morgan Park Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Morgan Park Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 752nd, while Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus is ranked 359th). As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, they will be playing at home against Walther Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
