The Trinity Shamrocks waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bishop Guilfoyle and snuck past 59-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Owen Schlager was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with two steals. Cj Nadzam was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds.
Trinity's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity will take on Middletown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Middletown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Trinity is ranked 82nd). As for Bishop Guilfoyle, they will be playing at home against Bald Eagle Area at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
