Westview fought the good fight in their overtime  game against Millard North  on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. Despite the loss, Westview still got an impressive performance from   Tayvin Zephier-Murphy, who  posted 18  points and eight  boards. Zephier-Murphy has been hot recently, having  posted eight or more  rebounds the last three times he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Trey Griggs, who  scored 14 points.
 Even though they lost, Westview was working as a unit and  finished the game with 17  assists. They  posted seven more  assists than Millard North's also-impressive total of ten.
 Millard North's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Derek Rollins led the charge by  dropping  a double-double with 18  points and 14  boards.  Trelly Akins also deserves some recognition as  he  posted his first  assist of the season.
Westview's  loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 19-2. As for Millard North, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record  this season.
 Westview has already played their next contest,  an  80-69  victory against Elkhorn South on the 14th. As for Millard North, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  game,  a  67-48  defeat against Wasatch Academy on the 15th.
