Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Manteno). They took down the Grant Park Dragons 82-68 on Friday. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Dragons are ranked 655th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Grant Park still got an impressive performance from Blake Brown, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 35 points in addition to eight assists and six boards. That was a full 51.5% of Grant Park's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Barnas, who put up 11 points.

Manteno is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Grant Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-15.
