Softball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Robertsdale's Third in Last Four Outings

Gulf Shores typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Robertsdale proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Dolphins by a score of 8-4. This was a revenge game for the Golden Bears: when they faced off against the Dolphins back in March, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Robertsdale's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brielan Adams, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave Adams a new career-high. Another was Blakelynn Dunlavy, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Robertsdale is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-15 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Gulf Shores, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 25-16-2.

Coming up, Robertsdale will head out to take on Saraland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Golden Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Gulf Shores does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
