It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Basehor-Linwood Bobcats can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Saint Thomas Aquinas on Friday, falling 38-7. Basehor-Linwood was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-0.
Brady Vandonge threw for 116 yards on 14 of 30 attempts. Kaleb Scott was his top target, picking up 77 receiving yards. On the ground, Sam Boetcher rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown.
Cole Richardson was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns. Saint Thomas Aquinas also got a significant boost from Gavin Middendorf, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 80 yards.
Basehor-Linwood's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Saint Thomas Aquinas, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
