The Bainbridge Bearcats were the 50-33 winner over the Hardaway Hawks when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Bainbridge took a 53-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hardaway.
Several Bearcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zyrell Williams, who scored nine points along with five assists and two steals. Williams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrese ?Ty? Jones, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hardaway to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mekhi Benton, who scored 18 points along with five assists and four steals. Another player making a difference was Lamell Mims, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Bainbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Hardaway, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-8.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Cairo the next time they take the court. Bainbridge will host Cairo at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Hardaway will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
