Princeville had lost four games straight , but after bumping their record up to 9-23 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Galva Wildcats. Claire Sutherland made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits. Sutherland was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
