The Cardinal Mooney Cougars will face off against the First Baptist Academy Lions at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. First Baptist Academy took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Cardinal Mooney, who comes in off a win.
 With a playoff game on the line, Cardinal Mooney rose to the challenge  on Saturday. They walked away with  a   66-58  victory over the Panthers. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cardinal Mooney to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Connor Heald, who  scored 21 points along with five  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Sean Scurry, who  scored 11 points along with two  steals.
 Meanwhile, First Baptist Academy came up short against Bishop Verot on Thursday and fell  49-41.
 Cardinal Mooney has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won ten of their last 11 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record  this season. As for First Baptist Academy, their loss  ended  an  eight-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 20-5.
 Cardinal Mooney won a  game that couldn't have been any closer  in their previous meeting  back in February of 2015, slipping by First Baptist Academy 67-66. Will Cardinal Mooney repeat their success,  or does  First Baptist Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
