Charles Dewald was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. He has become a key player for Morristown-Hamblen West: the team is 7-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-8-1 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Seymour got the win against William Blount on Tuesday by a conclusive 11-1.
Mason Brown looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Seymour was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .577. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Seymour has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Morristown-Hamblen West, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9-1.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Morristown-Hamblen West hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. However, it's not like Seymour struggles in that department as they've averaged .330. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
