It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Keswick Christian had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They secured a 25-20 W over the Boca Ciega Pirates. The win was nothing new for the Crusaders as they're now sitting on four straight.
Keswick Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Robyn Cantwell and Claire Rogers. Rogers got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Despite the defeat, Boca Ciega saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Adrianna Hitchcock picked up 75 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Hitchcock also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, making six total tackles and defending four passes.
Keswick Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Boca Ciega, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-6.
