The Tuscola Mountaineers had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They skirted past East Henderson 38-35. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Tuscola also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Tuscola found their leader in underclassman Kendall Williamson, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Williamson grabbed two or more steals. Julia Wells was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
Tuscola's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-14. As for East Henderson, they dropped their record down to 6-15 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Pisgah the next time they take the court. Tuscola will head out to face Pisgah at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while East Henderson will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
