Cairo was beaten by Ballard Memorial 56-29 on Thursday. Cairo was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ballard Memorial apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Cairo's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aaliyah Wilkerson, who scored 15 points, and Trinty Posey who scored 8 points. The game was Wilkerson's third in a row with at least ten points.
Cairo has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Ballard Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Cairo will head out on the road to face off against Martinsville at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. As for Ballard Memorial, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Mary at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
