It was a good run, but the Glens Falls Indians unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 35-27 to Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk. Glens Falls was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Leading Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk to victory were Ethan Green and Dominick Paljusaj. Green rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, while Paljusaj rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown. Green was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 56 yards. Wyatt Algozzine got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Another reason for the win was Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 5.5 sacks. Jayden Holl was especially locked on to Glens Falls' QB and sacked him twice.
Glens Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 9-1. As for Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Glens Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk will be playing in front of their home fans against Peru at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Peru is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
