Basketball Recap: Alleluia Community Takes a Loss

Alleluia Community lost against Westminster Schools of Augusta two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Alleluia Community Angels lost 77-54 to the Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Angels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 310th, while the Wildcats are ranked 101st).

Despite the loss, Alleluia Community still got an impressive performance from Mark Dooley, who posted 18 points. Evan Laddbush was another key player, putting up nine points.

Westminster Schools of Augusta found their leader in freshman Isaiah Walker, who put up 21 points. Another player making a difference was Gavin Fox, who had 13 points.

With the defeat, Alleluia Community broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2. As for Westminster Schools of Augusta, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Alleluia Community wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-47 win against Augusta E on the 6th. As for Westminster Schools of Augusta, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-37 victory against Augusta Prep Day on the 6th.
