7A District 9 recap September 10, 2013
Seminole scaled the state rankings by moving to 350 from 405 this week, the biggest jump in 7A District 9. The Warhawks were able to make move up by besting Dunedin 30-0.
Clearwater fell to St. Petersburg 44-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Logan Lopez ran for 62 yards in the defeat.
Artavis Scott was the best wideout in the league this week as East Lake bested Largo. Scott tallied 6 receptions for 55 yards.
Scott was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 106 yards on 14 carries as the Eagles defeated the Packers. Teammate Weston Fordham added to the ground attack by rushing for 89 yards.
Robby Hicks put up the best numbers through the air as Countryside topped Southeast. He finished with a total of 14 completions for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns. Hicks' favorite target this week was Slyvester Kimbrough, who caught 4 passes for 50 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Scott. The East Lake star has 8 catches for 98 yards.
Pinellas Park led 7A District 9 in scoring this week by notching 40 points on Gibbs.
