Williamston came out on top against Lake Fenton  on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fifth inning. The Hornets put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp  7-1 victory. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by six  runs or more this season.
 Jaiden Griffith made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   six  hits. Griffith was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and one  run.
 In other batting news,  Thea Fortin was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. That's the most  runs  she has posted  over her last 14  contests.  Anabelle Wortman was another key player,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  RBI.
 Williamston was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .438. They are 14-1 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Williamston moved to 19-13 with that  win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Lake Fenton, their loss dropped their record down to 30-7.
