Kendall Buttles put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs.
In other batting news, Delaney Buttles was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Luciana Pascarella also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
