After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last four matchups, the Elk Grove Thundering Herd finally came back down to earth on Friday. They took a serious blow against Jesuit, falling 70-23. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Elk Grove has scored all season.
They used a three-pronged attack on offense:
Nolan Riddle,
Danny Dennaoui, and
Liam Acido posted four points each. Acido also led the team in assists with two.
MJ Bhatia held things down on the boards with four rebounds.
Elk Grove has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Jesuit, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elk Grove will take on the Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Sheldon is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Jesuit, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. Davis Sr. will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 480th, while the Marauders are ranked 58th).
