On Tuesday, Gloria Deo Academy had to suffer through a rough 69-39 loss at the hands of Niangua. Gloria Deo Academy was down 60-29 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Niangua got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Clayton Henderson out in front who scored 28 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Ethan Scheetz was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with seven steals and five assists.
Gloria Deo Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Niangua, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-1.
Gloria Deo Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Aurora Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. Niangua's road trip will continue as they head out to face Southern Missouri RUSH at 8:30 p.m. on January 25th. Southern Missouri RUSH is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
