The Wasatch Wasps will head out on the road to challenge the Uintah Utes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Uintah took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Wasatch, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Wasatch made easy work of Deer Creek and carried off a 3-0 victory.
Wasatch never let Deer Creek take a set, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 25-22.
Wasatch got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Annie Cronauer out in front who had 11 kills, four digs, four aces, and two solo blocks. The team also got some help from Milani Allred, who had 16 assists, seven digs, and three aces.
Meanwhile, Uintah came up short against Mountain View on Thursday, falling 3-0.
While Uintah was not able to put a set on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 25-21.
Uintah has now lost three of their last four games on the road. That's left a mark on their 9-12 record this season. As for Wasatch, they have been on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's given a healthy boost to their 12-8 record this season.
