The Meeteetse Longhorns had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 43-33 win over Ten Sleep. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Meeteetse also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Meeteetse found their leader in underclassman Max Potas, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnathan Ogden, who scored four points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Meeteetse's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Ten Sleep, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Meeteetse on the road again on Saturday and play against Dubois at 12:30 p.m. on January 27th. Ten Sleep won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Burlington at 6:00 p.m. on January 20th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Burlington is ranked 50th, while Ten Sleep is ranked 63rd).
