Rosemont moved up to 332 from 399 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Metropolitan. The Wolverine were able to move up by defeating Laguna Creek 14-7.
Johnson lost to Cordova 50-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Arthur Parker ran for 181 yards in the defeat.
Rosemont's dynamic duo of Buddy Enriquez and Daliceo Calloway proved to be unstoppable against the Cardinals, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Enriquez threw for 164 yards and Calloway had 64 yards receiving.
Rick Wanlin's team's dynamic duo of Enriquez and Calloway proved tough for Laguna Creek to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Calloway was the best receiver in the league this week as the Wolverine defeated Dave Morton's team.
Parker provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Johnson lost to the Lancers.
Parker was the most successful running back in the league this week. Israel Smith also contributed to the rushing game with 26 yards on the ground.
Enriquez put up the best numbers through the air as Rosemont topped the Cardinals.
Tre Von Conerly-Smith was a key player and the best on defense this week as Florin fell to Monterey Trail. The 6-foot-2 senior.
On the heels of Enriquez and Eddie Ortiz, the Wolverine have had great success on offense. Enriquez leads the league in passing with 428 yards, while Ortiz has rushed for 500 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is the Panthers' Conerly-Smith, with 237 yards on 15 catches.
A big matchup in Metropolitan this week will be when Florin takes on Sacramento. Michael Rosales' team is currently in fourth, while the Dragons are in second.
Rosemont made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,256 from 5,472. The improvement was the result of 14-7 victory over Laguna Creek last week.
