Newton HomeSchool pushed the score to 50-27 by the end of the third, a deficit Chanute Christian cut but never quite recovered from.
Jaquale Schumm was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 16 rebounds. Schumm is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Alex Bungard was another key contributor, scoring 23 points along with three steals.
Newton HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Chanute Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
