The Wilson Lakemen had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They came out on top against Newfane by a score of 47-36. That's another feather in the cap for Wilson, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Peyton McInnis was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. The contest was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. Rian Faery was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Wilson's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Newfane, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Wilson will be playing at home against Albion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newfane, they will head out on the road to face off against Medina at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
