The Starkville Academy Volunteers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Houlka Wildcats at 10:45 a.m. on December 28th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Starkville Academy earned a 49-37 victory over Lamar.
Meanwhile, Houlka scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 73-40 win over Vardaman on the road. That looming 73-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Houlka yet this season.
Houlka's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Neal Moore, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds, and Elijah Kilpatrick, who scored 15 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Winter, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Starkville Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Houlka, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
