The Nelson Island Islanders had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lewis Angapak 88-52 on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Nelson Island also won the last time the pair played back in March.
Brennan Lincoln had a dynamite game for Nelson Island, scoring 41 points. The game was Lincoln's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Angaiak, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds.
Nelson Island pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lewis Angapak, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Nelson Island will head out on the road to face off against Kwigillingok at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lewis Angapak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
